Draft. Rough notes, not a finished plan — I’ll keep revising this as things shift.
Mid-2026 checkpoint: a few directions I’m trying to figure out at once. Nothing here is locked in.
1. Find a way to make money — AI or otherwise
1.a Learn from people who’ve already done it
Projects like Dungeon Tavern (地牢酒馆) and Nailong Bible (奶龙圣经) seem to be pulling it off. I should probably reach out to the developers — ask how they started, what they actually ship, and how they keep it running.
1.b Freelance work + content as a funnel
ChatGPT pointed me toward freelance gigs with AI-assisted writing, plus short videos to drive traffic. Sounds plausible enough to test on a small scale before committing to it.
2. Visit classmates in the US
An in-person catch-up would stick more than another group chat. Could matter later — professionally or otherwise. The hard parts are finding the time and convincing Dad to sponsor the trip.
3. Get serious about PhD applications
If I don’t, I’m not sure I can stay on my current path. I still need to narrow down target programs and line up recommendation letters.
4. Maybe start job hunting
I’m close enough to graduate that full-time roles are on the table. I haven’t sorted out how that fits with the PhD track yet, but ignoring the option feels lazy.
5. Site housekeeping
- Add a friends page / links
- Turn on albums and upload a few pieces I’m actually proud of
